EDISON and the ETP Pilot
The Employer Training Pilot (ETP) was a Government initiative to explore new ways of providing and financing adult education run by some of the country's Learning and Skills Councils (LSCs).
When Berkshire ETP found it impossible to manage their systems using multiple spreadsheets, they turned to IS Networks. Together and in partnership the first EDISON system was created. It was totally dedicated to managing Employer and Training Provider relationships, the contracting process, and payments. The system was so successful, it was adopted by 3 other regions. Although each region has slightly different methods of operation, EDISON was able to adapt to cope with the new demands.
